Admission Procedures:

 

Forms:  In order to enroll a child, parents are required to complete a registration form, discipline policy form, handbook acknowledgement form, and medical release form.

 

Supply Fees:  $35 for one-day program or $70 for two-day program are due upon enrollment and renewable in August of every year.  This is non-refundable.

 

When classes are filled you may be placed on a waiting list.  Individuals will be contacted on a “first come, first served” basis.

 

 

Tuition and Payment:

 

Tuition payments are paid in advance and are due on the first school day of the month.  Parents will pay the director by making checks to Duncanville Church of Christ.  A drop-off box is provided for your convenience in the hallway. 

 

Tuition for the program is:

 

$70/month for one-day program

$140/month for two-day program

 

Tuition is based on an average amount of days per month per year.  Therefore, the monthly tuition is constant although some months have a shorter number of class days.

 

 

Absence Policy:

 

Sonshine Place Day Out will remain open, teachers will remain on force and supplies are purchased based on your child’s participation for the length of the program.  Therefore, there are no discounts for being absent due to illness or vacations.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS.  This includes Holidays, as they have been accounted for in the average number of days charged.  However, if your child is to be absent for a full month, you may reserve his spot by paying one-half the tuition.  If you do not reserve the spot, it may not be available when you return, and you will be placed on the waiting list.

 

Late Fees:

 

A late fee of $10.00 per child may be charged to those who do not pay by the 10th of the

month.  If your child’s tuition lapses more than 30 days, he will not be admitted to school until the balance has been paid in full.  Please notify the director of any financial difficulties in paying the tuition.

 

Return Checks:

 

A charge for NSF checks of $25.00 must be paid when you pick up your check for replacement.  You must pick up your check the same day of notification.  After two returned checks, your account will be put on a “cash” basis for the remainder of the school session.
